Sweat for the Dress

Wedding bells call for guest lists, caterers, flowers and decor, the perfect dress, and following saying yes to the dress…a fitness coach! When making your wedding plans, it is just as important to make sure your figure looks as polished as your wedding bands!

As preparations for the big day begin, brides must keep in mind that their weigh-loss regime must be kept realistic based on their current weight and desired outcome.

Additionally, it is important to note that dress alterations will happen as your body changes and the wedding date gets closer. No matter what style of dress a bride chooses, you must use time as your ally to allow for a smooth transition from current size to wedding-ready body.

This week we had the opportunity to gather some tips from local fitness coach and entrepreneur Lizzette Suarez. She gave us some advice for brides of all lifestyles to keep you motivated, healthy and glowing on your special day.

We asked this week’s guest where brides could get started on their path towards an effective, yet realistic workout plan. We now share our findings with you, to get an inside scoop of the latest fitness advice.

Lizzette shares: “It's all about the TRIFECTA - Nutrition, Fitness, and Community.”

For someone who has not worked out in a while, I would start with something you can implement for the next 21 days. Why 21 days? Because it will help you create a habit.

  • Be realistic! Taking bite size goals to implement on a daily basis will ensure you reaching your goal. Starting small will ease you into this transition. Take it easy and one day at a time!

  • Implement a lifestyle instead of calling it a diet. Sometimes, we eliminate carbs, sugar, bread, etc… and then when we have reached our goal, we tend to go back to the way things were.

  • Stick with a meal plan or portion fix that will work with your goals and your families. Don’t become a short order cook!

Finding the right program for you is key to efficiently sweat for your dress!! Lizzette recommends a scientifically proven program that you can do in 30 minutes or less and right in the comfort of your own home.

While our beautiful brides work on following the best weight loss plan for their lifestyle, we would like to remind you that it is important to follow a safe and reasonable routine. Lastly, don’t forget to have fun and enjoy the preparations for your special day!

Lizzette Suarez bio:

My two greatest titles are "mommy" and "wife".

I successfully finished graduating with my MBA in Finance, however, it was difficult to find a job that allowed flexible hours for mommy duties. This motivated me to start my online coaching business, which allowed me to find a passion to help other women. I started from a girl who grew up hating her body because I was born with gastroschisis, to gaining weight and stretch marks with my second pregnancy, to now being full of life. My greatest revelation was the day I realized I was in complete control. I have found my power and voice in fitness and made it my purpose to pay it forward to you.
